OTTAWA – Another alleged victim has come forward, leading to an additional sex-related charge against a former teacher from Morrisburg.
The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section announced Thursday afternoon that Robert Clarke, 72, is facing one count of gross indecency.
That’s in addition to the four counts of gross indecency, two counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual exploitation he is already facing.
Police said the charge was laid after an alleged victim came forward when the police service put out a news release in September appealing for victims to come forward.
The acts are said to have occurred between 1973 and 1992 when Clarke was a teacher with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.
Investigators are still concerned there may be more victims out there and are asking people to call the unit at 613-236-1222 extension 5944.
Clarke will be in an Ottawa court at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 24, 2016.
