
CORNWALL – A high school, west of Ottawa, took the boys’ Eastern Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (EOSSAA) Curling Championships.
The tournament at the Cornwall Curling Center on Monday and Tuesday hosted 24 teams from across the region.
The Almonte and District High School boys’ squad defeated Perth and District Collegiate Institute 6-4 in the final to land a berth at the 2016 OFSAA championship in North Bay next month.
On the girls’ side, Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute took out PDCI 8-4 in the final.
Glengarry District High School won the mixed event but there is no OFSAA event for mixed play.
