River Kings lose to Blizzard

CORNWALL – The Cornwall River Kings lost 7-2 to Trois-Rivieres Saturday night.

Fewer than 1,000 people were in the stands this time for the game at the Ed Lumley Arena.

J.P. Caron and Nicolas Pard had the two goals for Cornwall.

The River Kings are now 11-22-4 and are at the bottom of the LNAH standings with 26 points, behind Saint Georges with 34.

Getting back from Friday night’s 3-2 win in Jonquiere wasn’t without a bump in the road.

The team bus went in the ditch heading back to Cornwall – fortunately no one was injured.

Cornwall is on the road the next two weeks with games in Riviere-du-Loup on Friday and Sorel on Friday, March 4. The next home game in March 5 against Jonquiere.
