WINCHESTER – A retired nurse at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital hasn’t necessarily seen her workload ease up.

Joan Davis, who retired in December after 27 years with WDMH, is now working at a nursing clinic in an aboriginal community in Northern Ontario.

“I plan to end my nursing career working in remote communities in Northern Ontario and Nunavut with the aboriginal population and I hope to see some polar bears (just not too close)!” explains Joan. “Between assignments I plan to enjoy some relaxation and family time.”

During her time in Winchester, Davis worked in the emergency, medicine and enhanced care departments, as well as a nighttime change nurse.
