CORNWALL – A company with operations in Cornwall has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 employers for 2016.
BASF Canada was recognized for how it treats its employees. “We strive to be an attractive employer that offers much more than a paycheque,” said Carles Navarro, president, BASF Canada.
Among the benefits employees receive include 17 weeks of parental leave top-up for new parents, including adoptive families, and family coverage on their health care plan.
Children of employees are also eligible for post-secondary scholarships up to $2,000 and an exchange program where they can stay with families of other BASF employees in another country.
The top 100 companies was compiled and evaluated by Mediacorp Canada Inc.
This is the second year BASF Canada has made the top 100 list.
The Cornwall plant on Wallrich Avenue, which makes chemicals for handling and molding plastics, has 30 employees.
