CORNWALL – Police are investigating a triplex fire on Lauber Avenue in Cornwall.

Firefighters were called around 6:30 p.m. to the apartment building at 34 Lauber where a unit in the back of the building (34 B) had an active fire.

“Nobody’s in there and nobody’s hurt. The other two units aren’t affected at all. A little light smoke in the basement of 34 (Lauber) here but that’s it,” Platoon Chief Steven O’Reilly told Cornwall Newswatch.

O’Reilly described it as “general stuff” that was burning when firefighters doused the flames.
