Cornwall firefighters rescue child in tree

CORNWALL – Cornwall firefighters had to use their ladder truck Tuesday afternoon to rescue a child stuck in a tree.

It happened around 4 p.m. in a residential subdivision on Marguerite D’Youville Street (northwest of Nav Center).

Four firefighters were on scene and the young boy was plucked from his perch roughly 12.1 meters (40 feet) off the ground.

He was not injured.
