CORNWALL – A Cornwall woman has been arrested for allegedly defrauding the Ontario welfare system.
City police allege the woman had failed to declare changes in her living arrangements to the Ontario Works Resource Center between February 2014 and June 2015.
The woman had received over-payments totalling $8,430.
The accused turned herself into police yesterday (Wednesday) and is charged with fraud.
Elizabeth Curran, 58, will appear in a Cornwall court Jan. 19, 2016.
