Canada’s army commander to visit Cornwall, Morrisburg for Remembrance Day

SD&G – The head of the Canadian Army will be taking part in Remembrance Day ceremonies in Cornwall and Morrisburg.

Lieutenant-General Marquis Hainse will be attending a small Remembrance Day service at Crysler’s Farm Battlefield at 9 a.m. before the ceremony in Cornwall, starting at 10:30 a.m.

The SD&G Highlanders will join the Royal Canadian Legion as part of the parade starting at 10:30 a.m. in the downtown.

The parade will head from the legion at Cumberland and Second Streets and travel down Second Street to York Street and around the Cornwall Cenotaph.

During the parade, road closures will be in effect.
