CORNWALL – A Cornwall man was arrested after a drug bust which rattled a neighbourhood near CCVS last week.
The 62-year-old suspect was detained Wednesday – a day after members of the Street Crime Unit and the Emergency Response Team stormed a home on Monroe Avenue.
The ruckus startled area residents as officers set off distraction devices or so-called flash-bangs and caused a brief “hold and secure” at the high school.
Cocaine, marijuana, as well as Canadian and American cash was seized.
The accused was charged with drug possession and trafficking charges as well as possession of property obtained by crime.
He was released with a November court date.
