Heat warning for SD&G

SD&G – The rest of the Labour Day long weekend is going to be hot, hot, hot.

Environment Canada issued a heat warning Saturday afternoon for SD&G, as well as the Ottawa Valley and Prescott-Russell and southwestern Ontario.

A hot, humid air mass is expected to begin tomorrow (Sunday) with high temperatures near or above 30 degrees for Sunday and Monday.

The humidity will make it feel near 40.

Weather experts are advising people, such as the elderly and children, to make sure to drink plenty of fluids and avoid strenuous outdoor activities.

Environment Canada says the weather will break Tuesday when high temperatures will be in the mid 20s – but it will still be humid.
