CORNWALL – Everyone managed to walk away from a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Vincent Massey Drive and Tollgate Road Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to the intersection around 4 p.m. for a collision between a Ford Escape sport utility vehicle and a Kia Forte.
The force of the crash had flipped the SUV on its side, flattening a stop sign on the northwest corner of the intersection and narrowly missing a utility pole.
The Kia Forte had its front bumper sheared off and the car had extensive front-end damage.
Despite how bad the collision looked, miraculously, no one was injured, police said.
There was one man in the SUV, which belonged to a local construction company, and two people – a man and a woman – in the car, which had Nova Scotia licence plates.
Police are investigating.
