CORNWALL – A spokeswoman for a Cornwall in-bound call center says they were “very pleased” with the quality of candidates for a weekend job fair.

Atelka announced Friday they had secured a new client for their Tollgate Road call center and needed to hire 200 English-speaking employees.

A job fair was held less than 24 hours later at the Benson Center.

Dina Guralnik, Director of Communications, declined to say how many people came through the doors Saturday. “We prefer to focus on the quality of the candidates vs. the quantity,” she said in an email to Cornwall Newswatch.

Guralnik said several on-the-spot interviews were conducted but there are still more vacancies to fill – both English and bilingual customer service rep positions.

The company is still encouraging people to apply on their website.
