MORRISBURG – Various stakeholder groups are meeting in Morrisburg today (Friday) to talk about navigating a very busy intersection.
The township is hosting an invitation-only two hour meeting at the municipal office on pedestrian and vehicle patterns around two major county roads.
The municipality has hired a consultant (MMM Group Limited) for $13,000 to study the areas around County Road 2 and 31 (County Road 2 at the Morrisburg Plaza entrance, the County Road 2 and County Road 31/Bank Street intersection, and the County Road 31/Bank Street and Fifth Street intersection).
Public Works Manager Chris Bazinet told Cornwall Newswatch stakeholders from the area were invited with the goal of getting some findings before a general public meeting.
“We need the public buy in in order for the project to be a success,” Bazinet said in an email.
