SD&G – The region’s two primary care centers are receiving infrastructure upgrade money from the Ontario government.

The Ontario Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund is giving $45,007 to the Cornwall Community Hospital and $34,911 to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital.

The money is part of a $10.9 million investment province-wide for bricks-and-mortar upgrades.

Cornwall’s allotment will be reportedly be used for fixing curbing around the property on McConnell Avenue – some of it as much as 26 years old.

As for Winchester’s upgrades, that hasn’t been determined.
