SOUTH LANCASTER – There will be plenty of anglers out on the St. Lawrence River Saturday looking to catch that elusive big walleye.

The South Lancaster Fish and Game Club is hosting its annual tournament which will see fishers cast their lines starting at 7 a.m. in an area from the Cornwall Dam to Valleyfield, Que.

The shotgun start happens at Macs Marina in South Lancaster.

Participants will be looking to grab up to $1,300 in the prize money, if they ended up being one of the top five teams.

“We’re pleased to have the chance to host this tournament again this year, and we’re hoping to attract more fisherman and woman than ever before,” said club president Shawna Rousseau.
