Hundreds remember John Earle

CORNWALL – Every seat in St. Francis de Sales Church was taken Friday as the community came to remember John Earle.

The filmmaker, father, small business owner and politician died July 18 after suffering a heart attack while diving in Lake St. Lawrence off the shore of Guindon Park.

He had just celebrated his 43rd birthday.

Bob Peters spoke about his friend and how John would be willing to put his energy and time into various causes.

He was remembered for his passion in achieving goals and overcoming life’s challenges such as his battle with cancer.

A trust fund has been set up for Earle’s children and at last report had seen over $6,600 in donations. You can find the the donation page here.
