SD&G – If you’ve ever been interested in trying out fishing, this is your week!
The province’s Family Fishing Week is underway and is in place until Sunday (July 12).
During this time, you don’t need a licence to fish on area lakes and rivers.
“Fishing is a great way for families and friends to spend time together and enjoy Ontario’s beautiful lakes and rivers. I encourage you to join in the fun at one of the many free family fishing events taking place across the province,” said Bill Mauro, Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry.
More than 1.3 million licensed anglers participate in a $2.5 billion Ontario industry every year.
