Donation to Ingleside Firefighter Challenge

INGLESIDE – A competition, putting firefighters skills to the test, is getting a boost from a local bank.

The Bank of Montreal branches in Ingleside and Finch have given $1,000 to the Ingleside Firefighters’ Association to benefit the event.

The ninth annual Ingleside Firefighter Challenge is Saturday, July 18 in front of the Ingleside Shopping Plaza.

Firefighters from neighbouring departments will be going head to head in a test of skill, endurance and teamwork as they go through a skills course.

The family-friendly event is free.

Events start at noon with a barbecue and the actual challenge goes at 2:30 p.m.
