CORNWALL – A string of alleged violent acts against a woman in Cornwall over a two week span has led to the arrest of the victim’s boyfriend.
A Cornwall man, 22, was arrested Tuesday and charged with four counts of assault, four counts of assault with a weapon, mischief, overcoming resistance, forcible confinement and breach of probation.
Police say between May 10 and May 25, the woman, 22, had been punched, slapped and choked.
Investigators also allege the victim had been threatened with various weapons – a knife, a set of brass knuckles and a hammer – and a glass table was smashed during one quarrel.
Police were called at some point and the man was picked up at a Walton Street home on Tuesday.
He was held for a bail hearing.
The man’s name was not released as it would identify the victim.
