CORNWALL – Police were holding the scene Tuesday afternoon after an early morning fire at fire prevention company in Cornwall.

Firefighters were called to Pyro Pro Fire Protection Systems at 950 Carleton Street just after 7 a.m. this morning (Tuesday) after receiving a 911 call and were on the scene until 9:30 a.m.

They were able to quickly put out the blaze.

Damage is concentrated around a garage bay at the back of the building with a pickup truck inside that appeared to be being repaired.

Yellow fire tape has the back of the building cordoned off this afternoon with a single Cornwall police cruiser sitting outside.

A fire prevention officer is investigating the cause.

Investigators will likely have some good evidence in their probe into how the fire started as signs outside the building indicate the property is under video surveillance.

There were no injuries.
