FINCH – Organizers of the 2015 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo and the United Counties have received $100,000 to market the upcoming event in Finch.

Half of the money will be used to pay for advertising and marketing while the other half will be used by the United Counties of SD&G to market the region’s assets and local communities during a major tourism event.

The money is coming from the Cornwall and the Counties Community Futures Development Corporation and the federal government.

MP Guy Lauzon was in Finch this morning to make the announcement.

Roughly 80-100,000 people are expected to converge in Finch Sept. 22-26 for the IPM.
