CORNWALL – Gardeners can get their bark and compost Saturday.

The city is holding its 10th annual Bark & Compost Day at the landfill site on Cornwall Centre Road from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The wood mulch and compost will be sold pre-bagged for $3 or by the scoop ($25 for first scoop, $15 or each additional scoop).

Part of the proceeds will be going to the Children’s Christmas Fund.

Proceeds from the day go to the Cornwall & District Horticultural Society to give back to the community through various projects including tulip bulbs at the cenotaph and container gardens at senior homes.

Due to construction in the area, the city is advising people to access the landfill via County Road 2.
