INGLESIDE – Fire crews in South Stormont are on the scene of another brush fire, west of Ingleside.
Crews from Long Sault, Ingleside and Newington were called around 4 p.m. to the CNR tracks east of Aultsville Road (and west of Farren’s Point Road) for a brush fire.
However, the fire doesn’t appear to be as big as yesterday (Wednesday) when nearly ten acres of brush and long grass were razed by flames.
The flames through appear to be closer to the railroad tracks.
The township has been dealing with tinder-dry conditions and very little rain recently.
The cause of today’s fire isn’t know though yesterday’s fire was caused by a homeowner that was burning when it got out of control when the wind picked up.
