CORNWALL – Police are asking for tips in that case of possible mischief at Dairy Queen over the weekend.

Police say someone “discharged an offensive substance” inside the building around 7 p.m. Saturday night.

Patrons complained of coughing fits and one woman says her daughter even got sick after exiting the building.

Firefighters were on scene and then police showed up later to investigate.

Dairy Queen owner Nolan Quinn told The Seaway News he could see a couple of teenage boys on security footage – one with a skateboard and the other on a bicycle – come up to the door and then hightail it a few seconds later.

If you have any information you’re asked to call Const. Patrick Huygen at 613-933-5000 extension 2785 or the anonymous tip line at extension 2404.
