NEWINGTON – Spring flood waters have already taken their toll on roads in South Stormont.

Township crews had to close off a portion of Zeran Road, east of County Road 14, after a section of the road collapsed over the weekend.

A farmer, who lives nearby, says a section of the road – about the size of a compact car – washed away around a culvert.

Road crews are expected to be out soon to make repairs.
