Fourth person charged in pet store robbery

WINCHESTER – A fourth person has been charged with conspiring to carry out a violent robbery of a North Dundas pet store in February.

A 20-year-old woman from Barrhaven was arrested March 10 and charged with conspiracy to commit and indictable offence and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

She is accused of also having the stolen vehicle used in the Feb. 23 robbery at the Pet Valu on County Road 3 (12006 Main Street West).

Three men – one with a metal bar – confronted a female clerk and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The clerk was injured during the robbery and had to be treated at hospital for minor injuries.

The three suspects – a 19-year-old from Ottawa and a 20-year-old from Gatineau, Que. as well as a 15-year-old from Russell Township – were arrested the next day.
