Cornwall police targeting sign violators

(Newswatch Group/File)

CORNWALL – Police in the city will be looking for drivers who don’t obey road signs.

It’s part of the Cornwall Police March Traffic Action Plan.

Officers will be looking for the big culprits – people who don’t stop at stop signs as well as those who disobey no U-turn or yield signs.

Violating the directions of a sign will cost you $110 and two or three demerit points.

Last month’s equipment violation initiative was characterized as “quiet” by police though no numbers were available.
