CORNWALL – It’s not every day you hear of someone charged with transportation fraud but a Cornwall man is facing it, accused of not paying for a taxi ride.

Police say it happened early Monday morning after a guy got out of a cab on Maple Street and didn’t pay up.

The accused even went as far as threatening to punch the driver in the face when he asked his passenger if he was going to pay.

The man, 52, was held for a bail hearing Tuesday on the charge of transportation fraud as well as threats and breach of probation and undertaking for failing to keep the peace.
