SOUTH MOUNTAIN – A larger than expected turnout happened for the third annual Telus ATV Ride For Dad.

The Nation Valley ATV Club fundraiser for prostate cancer research on Saturday (March 7) saw 230 riders roll through the North Dundas ATV trail system.

In the end, they raised $57,000 for prostate cancer research and awareness.

There was a total of $100,000 in pledges and sponsorships in the previous two years.

“We were overwhelmed by the turnout and the support for this year’s ride. It beat all of our expectations by far,” says Committee Co-Chair Dave Baker.

“It presented some challenges in the parking lot and along the trails, but it was all for a great cause and everyone seemed to enjoy the day.”
