CORNWALL – St. Lawrence College is applauding a move by the provincial government to improve front line services for victims of sexual assault.
The plan, announced by the government Friday, includes measures to raise public awareness, improve training and awareness and safety on college and university campuses and workplaces.
College President Glenn Vollebregt says it’s been clear from students that the province’s help line services need improvement.
Meanwhile, the province’s 24 colleges, including SLC, are working on a stand-alone policy which will be released at the end of the month.
