CORNWALL – With the end of the season just around the corner, the Cornwall River Kings still have a couple of chances to put one in a win column.
The Cornwall team has been in a victory drought as of late and it didn’t get any easier Sunday afternoon as the River Kings fell 3-1 to Sorel-Tracy.
Sasha Pokulok had the lone goal for Cornwall in the first period in front of just over a thousand fans (1,033 recorded attendance).
After four consecutive games between Sorel and Cornwall, it appeared the Quebec team had a solid handle on Cornwall as the Sorel goalie, Adam Russo, turned aside all but one of the 34 shots he faced.
The Eperviers also outshot the River Kings 43-34.
Cornwall plays next in Laval on Friday night.
