GRAPEVINE, Texas – The owner of the Benson Group has been recognized for giving back to communities through his charity work.
Marty Benson was given a cheque for $10,000 to give to a charity of his choice plus a crystal plaque during a meeting of North American tire dealers in Grapevine, Texas on the weekend.
The 2015 Put More Good On The Road Award was presented by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company on Sunday, at the opening of the show which runs through Tuesday.
The money is going to the Monsignor Rudy Villeneuve Foundation, which provides annual post-secondary scholarships, according to Modern Tire Dealer magazine.
