CORNWALL – A Cornwall man has been charged with possession of child pornography.

Justin Hebert, 19, turned himself into city police yesterday (Jan. 22) and was arrested.

He was released on conditions to protect the public, focusing specifically on children, and will appear in court Feb. 24, 2015.

Cornwall police were acting on this case as a member of the Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet.

The project is administered by the O.P.P. Child Sexual Exploitation Unit and is overseen by a joint management team, made up of officers from the O.P.P., 26 police services and the ministries of correctional services and the Attorney General.

Cornwall police came on board the program in September 2014.
