Murder charge laid in Akwesasne death

AKWESASNE – Akwesasne police have laid a murder charge in connection to the death of a woman in Snye, Que.

They have also identified the victim – 46-year-old Lori Sue Lazore of Snye.

Akwesasne dispatchers received a call from New York State Police around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning about a possible murder on Oak Court.

When Akwesasne police officers went to the home they found the body of Lori Lazore in the dwelling.

Police announced Wednesday afternoon that they have charged Ryan John Lazore, 26, with second-degree murder.

The accused is the victim’s son.

He is being held in a New York State jail as Canadian authorities work to extradite him.

An autopsy is also being conducted today on Lori Lazore.
