Two tenants given CPR at fire scene

CORNWALL – Two people had to be given CPR after a fire in a multi-unit building Wednesday night.

Emergency dispatchers received a 911 call around 7:10 p.m. about a house on fire at 109 Lefebvre Avenue.

Four vehicles and ten firefighters responded to the scene and were able to quickly put out the flames.

Two tenants were from pulled from the building and given CPR before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.

The Cornwall Fire Department’s fire prevention branch is investigating.
