WINCHESTER – Dr. Roger Perron says the Winchester District Memorial Hospital is the “best kept secret around” the province.

The obstetrician-gynecologist is the newest addition to the hospital, where he will deliver babies and also perform minimally-invasive gynecological procedures.

He will also practice at the St. Lawrence Medical Clinics in Morrisburg, Iroquois and Ingleside.

Dr. Perron says he came to Winchester for summer coverage and he and his wife fell in love with the area.

“We didn’t even know it existed,” he said.

Dr. Perron has equal praise about the hospital.

“It’s the best kept secret around. The people here are great. And the operating rooms are magnificent. Any tertiary care center would be happy to have them,” he said.

Dr. Perron has over 30 years experience and will be full-time at WDMH in the new year.
