CORNWALL – The Cornwall River Kings have traded a couple of well-known names – Nicolas Corbeil and Anthony Pittarelli – to Thetford-Mines.
In exchange, the River Kings will get enforcer Philippe Pepin and forward Andre Sandrzyk, plus a draft pick.
Head Coach Rick Lalonde says Pepin is a tough kid that fans will love, another he notched four fighting majors in five games with the Isothermic.
Lalonde is hoping to continue to add size and toughness to the lineup by adding another enforcer as he continues to “work the phones” with other teams.
The coach added that it was time for Corbeil and Pittarelli to move on because they “need a change of scenery.”
Pepin and Sandrzyk are expected in the lineup this weekend when the River Kings visit Jonquiere on Friday night and host Riviere-du-Loop on Saturday.
