CORNWALL – A second nurse at the Cornwall Community Hospital has been attacked by a patient in as many days.
Police charged a 56-year-old woman Monday with assault with a weapon and mischief after she allegedly pushed over some file folders, striking a 51-year-old nurse. Police say the accused also knocked a computer monitor over and damaged it.
Another woman – a 27-year-old from Cornwall – was arrested Monday and charged with threats and assault after a nurse was attacked on Sunday.
In that case, Cornwall police say the nurse was punched and the patient threatened to kill her.
Both women have upcoming court dates in Cornwall.
