MORRISBURG – South Dundas’ CAO is moving west.
Shannon Geraghty announced Monday he’s leaving at the end of April to take the chief administrative officer position with Augusta Township.
“It was a very difficult decision, but it was a decision that was best for myself and my family,” Geraghty said in a statement.
He lives in Brockville with his wife and two daughters.
Geraghty has been CAO with South Dundas for the past eight years and has two decades of municipal experience.
Augusta Township council announced the appointment of Geraghty on Monday.
He’s taking over from Steve McDonald, who’s retiring.
