Election results in northern SD&G

SD&G – North Stormont’s deputy mayor now takes the top spot at the council table.

Unofficial election results show Francois “Frank” Landry won over councillor Roxane Villeneuve 1,595 to 1,082.

Steven Densham is deputy mayor with 1,668 votes with his challenger, Dean Laponsee, garnering 945 votes.

Alison McDonald (1,657), Charles Shane (1,392) and Adrian Bugelli (1,455) have been elected to council.

North Dundas and North Glengarry had councillor races as their mayors and deputy mayors were acclaimed.

In North Dundas, Gary Annable (1,910), Matthew Uhrig (1,595) and John Lennox (1,434) were elected to council. Voter turnout was 31.4 per cent.

In North Glengarry, Brian Caddell was elected to Ward 1 (Lochiel), Jeff Manley secured Ward 2 (Kenyon) and Gary Martin won Ward 4 (Maxville). Michael Madden was acclaimed for Ward 3 (Alexandria).
