CORNWALL – A spooky pre-Halloween fundraiser for four community agencies is back this year in a new location.

The Ghost Walk for Charity will start Friday, Oct. 15 and Saturday, Oct. 16 followed by the Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the two weeks before Halloween (Oct. 21-23, Oct. 28-30).

It’s now being held in the upper level of Cornwall Square in the former Sears location. In previous years it was at the former Metro grocery store location, now Habitat for Humanity, on Vincent Massey Drive.

The hours are 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and to 10 p.m. on Saturdays. A non-scare hour for the very young children starts at 5 p.m.

The event raises money for the Children’s Treatment Center, Victim Services/Koala Place, Agape Center and Habitat for Humanity.

The scary walk-through event was sidelined last year and a charity golf tournament was held instead due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
