
GLEN WALTER/CORNWALL – The owner of a Glen Walter masonry business has been charged with defrauding customers over five months this year.
Cornwall police arrested 49-year-old Richard Dumais yesterday (Sept. 2) and charged him with 36 counts of fraud and seven counts of forging documents.
Dumais was released and will appear in court Nov. 16 in Cornwall.
Police say customers of Stone Craft Masonry in Glen Walter were ripped off between March and July this year. The charges follow a joint investigation by city police and SD&G OPP.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Dumais has owned and operated Stone Craft Masonry since February 2019.
