SD&G – If you’re looking to take a dip this weekend to beat the heat, there are three beaches in the region that have been posted as unsafe for swimming.
The beach at Woodlands Campground A on the Long Sault Parkway and the beach at Glengarry Campground on South Service Road in South Glengarry – both runs by the Parks of the St. Lawrence – are posted.
The Township of North Glengarry’s Alexandria Island Park beach is also unsafe.
The health unit says high levels of bacteria – most likely E. Coli – have been found in the water and may pose serious health risks.
