CORNWALL – A man from Brampton is charged after police say he took a test drive and never returned.

Cornwall police were alerted Thursday (July 22) that a man had gone to a car dealership to test drive a vehicle but didn’t come back after taking his selection out for a spin.

Officers found the man several days later – on Monday (July 26) – and arrested him.

The 29-year-old is facing one count of theft over $5,000.

Police did not say what dealership was the unwitting victim.
