CORNWALL – A motorcycle rider has died after crashing into a parked vehicle on a Cornwall street early Thursday morning.
City police say the driver was pronounced dead at the scene on Glengarry Boulevard shortly after the crash around 2 a.m.
A passenger on the bike is in hospital in serious but stable condition, police added.
Investigators say relatives have been notified but the victim’s name won’t be released out of respect for the family.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call them.
This is the second motorcycle-related death in the City of Cornwall this week and the second instance in the region of someone dying after hitting a parked vehicle.
On Monday afternoon, a biker died after a collision with a car at Fifth Street East and Adolphus Street. A driver died early Sunday morning after hitting a parked truck on Headline Road in South Stormont.
