GLEN WALTER – South Stormont Mayor Bryan McGillis has been re-elected as the chairman of the Raisin Region Conservation Authority board of directors.

The RRCA says McGillis received a unanimous nod for a second one-year term during the board’s Thursday (March 18) meeting.

South Glengarry Coun. Martin Lang is re-elected vice chairman.

The board, which oversees the conservation authority budget and programs, has eight representatives from five municipalities: Cornwall, North Glengarry, South Glengarry, North Stormont and South Stormont.

Among the goals for this year, the RRCA plans to plant 60,000 trees in Cornwall and SD&G.
