Summerstown grow-op dismantled; seven arrests

SUMMERSTOWN – Provincial police have dismantled a large-scale marijuana growing operation, north of Summerstown.

Several departments of the O.P.P. raided the facility on Hay Road yesterday (Feb. 17) and seized over 5,000 marijuana plants.

Seven people from Markham, Scarborough, Unionville and Cornwall are facing various drug-related charges.

They will all appear in a court in Alexandria next month.
