CORNWALL – A Cornwall hotel was cordoned off with police tape Sunday morning as investigators dealt with an assault with a weapon call.
City police tell Cornwall Newswatch that two men got into a fight around 8:30 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 22) at the Best Western Parkway Inn on Vincent Massey Drive when one of them used some sort of weapon on the other.
“The victim did not sustain any serious injuries and police believe this to be an isolated incident,” spokesman Stephanie MacRae said.
The cause of the fight or the weapon used was not disclosed.
A witness tells CNW that an area around the hotel was roped off with police tape and the forensics unit was on site around 11 a.m.
So far no charges have been laid as the investigation is ongoing.
