CORNWALL – The City of Cornwall says overnight parking on the street is prohibited as the first significant snowfall of the season moves through the area.
The on-street parking is prohibited between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Monday as Environment Canada is expecting 5-10 centimeters (2-4 inches) of snow.
The snow is expected to transition to rain and there may be a period of freezing rain. Then we will be back to snow on Monday morning.
The less stringent pre-winter parking rules have been in effect since Nov. 15 where overnight parking is not allowed if the forecast calls for more than five centimeters of snow.
The complete overnight parking ban comes into effect Dec. 15 until March 31, 2021.
